How to Determine Your Hat Size

Use a tape measure or a length of string that you have the length. Place the string or tape around your head about 1/8″ above your ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. Basically, you need to measure your head exactly where the hat will sit. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the larger of the two sizes.

Ideally, a hat should fit snugly, not to the point it causes a headache but enough that a gentle breeze doesn’t remove it. You may find gaps on either the sides or the front and back of the hat. Some foam stuffing can be added underneath the sweatband to aid in obtaining the proper fit.
